Alinea Architects has extensive experience working on several indistrial type projects. Service provided include traditional architectural services as well as specialized code analysis and permitting assistance. Project experience includes factory-related occupancies and several high-hazard occupancies with extensive quantities of hazardous materials. Often the local Authorities reviewing permit applications do not have the familiarity with industrial processes such that a building permit application can be somewhat intimidating, especially for the high-hazard type occupancies. Alinea Architects has developed a process to introduce the local officials to the project, familiarize them with the proposed process and  how the hazardous materials are utilized, then translate that information into a "building code" language they can understand and respond to. As a result, we have been very successful in obtaining building permits for extremely hazardous industrial projects.
